Cambridge IELTS-11 academic reading part high-level words. If your target score 6.5 and higher, you should know these words.
There are lots of IELTS exam methods and tactics to get a high score is available. However, if you have a lack of information, they only help up to a point. Based on this topic, I made my IELTS preparation with complete my information on the upper level (B2-C1-C2) vocabularies and tried taking note of frequently used words. I thought it would be good to learn. IELTS There is a lot of non-ordinary words in the academic reading exam, and many of them are used to create a mess. However, when you examine all tests with a different view, you will see that there are many words used again and again. Extra vocabulary will help you to understand the reading part more efficiently.

I have noted the words in the academic reading part “This marvellous invention ” Again, maybe all of these are not exactly the necessary words for the exam, but I think people should take a look. Because if you have to get a good score, you should know something good.
The order of the words is relative to the order in which the reading is used. Descriptions are also given in the Cambridge dictionary. Here are the reading unknown words.

Manifold | many and of several different types /
a pipe or closed space in a machine that has several openings, allowing liquids and gases to enter and leave |
Advent | the fact of an event happening, an invention being made, or a person arriving /
the period of four weeks before Christmas / |
Pale | used to describe a person’s face or skin if it has less colour than usual, for example when the person is or ill or frightened, or if it has less colour than people generally have /
If a person’s face pales, it loses its usual colour |
Embark | to go onto a ship /
to go on to a ship or an aircraft / to put goods or passengers onto a ship, aircraft, or train |
Ascent | the act of climbing or moving upwards /

Disclose | to make something known publicly, or to show something that was hidden |
Penetrate | to move into or through something /
to succeed in becoming part of an organization, etc. and working within it / to reach or affect something / If your eyes penetrate somewhere dark, you manage to see through it |
Stirring | A stirring speech or song is one that produces strong, positive emotions /
the beginning of something, such as an emotion or thought |
Distil | to make a liquid stronger or purer by heating it until it changes to a gas and then cooling it so that it changes back into a liquid /
to get or show only the most important part of something |
Hymn | a song of praise that Christians sing to God |
Homage | deep respect and often praise shown for a person or god |
Fascination | to interest someone a lot |
Barely | by the smallest amount |
Measly | too small in size or amount, or not enough |
Haphazard | not having an obvious order or plan |
Unravel | If a piece of knitted or woven cloth, a knot, or a mass of thread unravels, it separates into a single thread, and if you unravel it, you separate it into a single thread /
If you unravel a mysterious, unknown, or complicated subject, you make it known or understood, and if it unravels, it becomes known or understood / If a process or achievement that was slow and complicated unravels or is unravelled, it is destroyed |
Forager | a person or animal that goes from place to place searching for things that they can eat or use |
Suburban | People who live suburb. Suburb means: an area on the edge of a large town or city where people who work in the town or city often live |
Exertion | the use of a lot of mental or physical effort /
the use of something such as authority, power, influence, etc. in order to make something happen |
Precisely | Exactly /
used to emphasize what you are saying / used to express complete agreement with someone or suggest that what they have said is obvious |
Deceptive | the act of hiding the truth, especially to get an advantage |
Estrangement | an estranged husband or wife is not now living with the person they are married to /
If you are estranged from your family or friends, you have had a serious argument with them and are no longer friendly with them / a period when you are estranged from someone, or the fact of being estranged |
Trim | to make something tidier or more level by cutting a small amount off it /
to reduce the amount or size of something / to decorate something by adding objects, pieces of material, etc. that make it look attractive |
Colossus | a person or thing of great size, influence, or ability /
a very large statue (= large artistic object) or building |
Sleek | (especially of hair, clothes, or shapes) smooth, shiny, and lying close to the body, and therefore looking well cared for; not untidy and with no parts sticking out |
